Sports & Red Color Inspired Card

Hello! We have a new challenge at Incy Wincy Designs. The challenge theme is Sports Or Mainly Red. I am using an image from one of our two sponsors.

I had a bit of struggle coming up with an idea for this challenge. I have one of those days that my creative thinking is not working. I was going to take a break for this challenge but then, I always try to be participate to give credit to our sponsors for their willingness to sponsor our blog challenge. So here I am, with my finished card.

I printed the image on Neenah Solar White cardstock. I colored the image with Copic markers. Had a bit of a struggle with the small areas to color. I fussy cut the image, leaving a small border around it.

For the background, I created a scene with the Lawn Fawn Grassy Hillside Borders for the grass. For the sky background, I used the Taylored Expression Rolling Clouds die but instead of die cutting, I embossed the die to the light blue cardstock.

I stamped the sentiment on the sky background using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Candied Apple. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things Mason Jar Labels stamp set. I adhered the boy and the ball to the scene. I added accents to the eyes using Sakura Black Glaze pen.

To add more red, I adhered a washi tape to a white cardstock panel cut at 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". I adhered the scene panel to this using foam adhesive. This was cut at 4" x 5 1/2" so the washi tape will show thru the sides.

Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you join us in our latest Incy Wincy Challenge. Have a blessed, brilliant and creative day!
