Tokidoki Inspired Card

Hello! I created this card for a co-worker of mine who went through a lot of struggles late last year. We both share the passion of cute characters. I like Hello Kitty and she likes Tokidoki. She loves purple, thus, the color scheme of this card.

I searched the web for a free Tokidoki cuf file. I could not find one so I went to the Tokidoki website. I found an image that I was able to crop and upload to Cricut Design Space. I edited the image to be printed and cut.

For the front card panel, I die cut a purple cardstock with holes for cross stitching using The Stamp Market Stitched Tag die. I cross stitched a heart using the colors from the printed image.

I die cut this purple panel with Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle die.

For the sentiment, I heat embossed this on the same purple cardstock using white embossing powder. The sentiment is from Hero Arts Kindness Acts Of Kindness stamp set. I trimmed this and layered a vellum underneath it.

I flicked Kuretake Gansai Tambi Natural Beige watercolor paint on the panel with the stitched portion covered. I set this aside to dry.

I adhered the printed image with foam adhesive. I adhered the panel to a Doodlebug plaid patterned paper cut at 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". I adhered this to a top folding horizontal note card.

I added heart die cuts and added Nuvo White Blizzard on top it. The hearts were cut using the Mama Elephant Confetti Creative Cuts.

Thank you for visiting my blog. Have a blessed, brilliant and creative day.
