Another Happy Birthday Balloon Card

I submitted this card to a magazine but it was not what they are looking for for their winter issue. Since it was not considered, I am posting the card on my blog. It is a shaped card, shaker card, stitched card, and the sentiment was cut multiple times and stacked to create a chipboard-like embellishment.

Always & Forever

Metallic is in. Inlaid die cutting is also in. I combined both in this card that I am submitting to this week's PS Anything Goes Challenge.

Amazing Friend Card

I didn't made it to the company's design team to whom I submitted this card. This is one of three projects I submitted. That's okay. As long as I enjoyed creating...which I did! That's all that really matters.

Card-lifted Shaped Balloon Card

I love how this card made by Jennifer McGuire turned out that I decided to card-lift it. Here is the link of the video on how she made her card: http://www.jennifermcguireink.com/2014/02/video-shaped-balloon-card-blog-hop-giveaway.html

And here is my card-lifted version of her card.

I made this card for Janelle, who I work with. Actually, another co-worker, Christy, coaxed me into making a card for her. Of course, I said yes because this is what I enjoy doing.

Kids Birthday Card

I made this card for the Hero Arts Birthday Challenge under Kids Birthday Card category. I started making this card last February for my youngest son's second birthday. I didn't like how it was turning out that time so I put the speech bubble aside.  I wanted to make a scene card and challenged myself into using patterned papers for my next card.  And this is what I came up with...

I made a gatefold card. I had to secure it with a velcro at the back of the speech bubble since it won't stay closed. I stamped the bear six times and paper pieced it. I layered it to create some dimension. I used Copics to color the ears, mouth and feet. I used flock for the nose. I used googly eyes which I think will be an attraction for the kid receiving this card.

Here is the close-up of mama bear and baby bear.

The speech bubble was repeatedly stamped with Happy Birthday in different colors. This is how the card looks like inside...

Metallic Birthday Card

This is my second entry to the Hero Arts Birthday Cards Challenge.

I rubbed the Silver and Gold Shadow Inks on a white card stock. I masked certain areas to create a striped background. I used the Alpha Uppercase metal die to create a negative space on this striped, ink card stock making sure I save every piece. I cut five more pieces for each letter, stacked and glued them on top of each other. I embossed the top most layer with a copper colored embossing powder. This created a chipboard-like embellishment which is very trendy today. I adhered this to the negative space I created at the start, which is another trend today.

And here is the card I made.

A close-up view of the sentiment.

Hero Arts has a new challenge, and this time, it is about birthdays.

I made a rainbow colored washi tape inspired card.

And here is the result.
