Bottle Cap Shaker Card

Hello! I created this card using Pebbles This Is Family Collection. I created several projects using this collection which you can check out by clicking the linked titles of the projects (Home Themed CardSketch Inspired Scrapbook Lay Out, and See Through Shaker Birthday Present Card).

What motivated me to create this card is the people faces included in this line, specifically the washi tape. I have used all of the washi tape included in the pack except this people face washi tape. I transformed this washi tape into an embellishment. Do you remember the Bottle Cap embellishment? Yes, I still have my puncher and clear bubble caps. The caps are not crystal clear anymore, unfotunately. Now, it has a yellowish tint. The adhesive under the cap rolls or peels off. This can easily be fixed by applying Glossy Accents to the washi tape before applying the cap. I should have done this to all of the washi tape bubble caps. One cap came loose after several shaking of this shaker card which you will see on the picture below.

I trimmed one of the patterned papers in the collection at 4" x 5 1/4". I cut a hole to create a window. I used one of the ephemera acetates to seal the shaker card. I applied a thin line of Glossy Accents to the back of the clear ephemera, just following the line created by the frame. I wiped off any excess that seeped out of the acetate. I set this aside to dry.

I am using another ephemera as the center piece of the shaker card. I colored the flower with Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen which oozed a lot of ink when I removed the cap. Bad news is that it created red droplets on my center ephemera piece. I did not want to toss this ephemera so I covered this boo-boo with some gems.

I colored the flower with the sparkle pen, adding some accents. I also colored the leaf with a green sparkle pen, which I am glad that it did not create a mess like the red one. I drew in dash lines on the sentiment.

This circle ephemera is slightly smaller than the circle window. I adhered this on a black card stock to make this gap less noticeable. I used Gina K. black foam tape that I doubled up and adhered on this black card stock to create the well and the dimension for the rest of the window panel. I added the bottle cap and some Pretty Pink Posh gems to the well, then placed the window panel to seal the shaker card.

I added colors to the clear acetate with Sakura Souffle 3D Paint pens. I added more gems to the front.

Thank you for visiting my blog. Have a SAFE, blessed, brilliant and creative day!
