Color Inspired Card

Hello! I created this card for the latest My Favorite Things Color Challenge. I am using the MFT Party Patterns and Celebrate Life stamp sets which are both retired stamp sets.

I first created the background on Neenah White Solar card stock. I am using inks from Hero Arts (Soft Vanilla) and Simon Says Stamp (Audrey Blue and Doll Pink). I have to clean the stamps really well in between stamping especially when I am going to stamp with the HA Soft Vanilla. You have no idea how many times I contaminated this color. I also embossed some outline circles with Wow! Pearl Gold embossing powder for some accent.

For the sentiment, I heat embossed this on a dark pink paper with HA white embossing powder. I colored the sentiment using Faber Castell Polychromos colored pencils.

I created a frame using the MFT LJD Rectangle Peek-A-Boo Window Die-namics. This die creates a window but I trimmed off the sides to make this into a frame. I also did partial die cutting to extend the length of the window so that the sentiment can fit inside the window. I used a white card stock for the frame.

I trimmed the stamped panel to 4" x 5 1/4". I matted this with the same dark pink paper cut at 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". I adhered the framed sentiment on the center with foam adhesive on the back.

Thank you for visiting my blog. Have a SAFE, blessed, brilliant and creative day!
