Polaroid Scene Friend Card

Hello! I have another card created for the Happy World Card Making Day. For this one, I created a scene using the JS Kraft Woodgrain Frames.

I am using Jillibean Soup products for this card. I fussy cut the trees from the JS Country Pumpkin Chowder 6x6 mini pad. I created hills using a green patterned paper from the same paper pad. I die cut this patterned paper using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders die. I inked the edges of the hills with a Tim Holtz Distress Ink Mowed Lawn.  For the sky, I don't have a blue patterned paper to fit the scene. Luckily, I have a left over paper where I blended blue ink on it. I trimmed this to 3" x 4", the same size as the JS Kraft Woodgrain Frame.

I used the excess JS White Smile Wise Words sticker I painted from an earlier post. I die cut the letters from the JS Sweet & Sour Soup 6x6 mini pad using the smallest circle die from the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circles. I adhered both the sticker and letter die cuts to the bottom of the polaroid embellishment to create the sentiment.

I trimmed another JS Sweet & Sour 6x6 mini pad at 4 1/4" X 5 1/2". I flicked Finetec Inka-Gold paint on this. After this has dried, I adhered the polaroid panel with fun foam for added dimension. I inked the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Tumbled Glass to hide the white core of the patterned paper.

I added dots of clear Tonic Aqua Shimmer pen to add shimmer to the trees as a last detail. I adhered this to a top folding A2 note card.

Monochromatic Encouragement Card

Hello. I have another card created to take part on the Happy World Card Making Day 2019 celebrated last Saturday.

I am using Jillibean Soup products for this card. I cut the sentiment from JS Fresh Vegetable Soup Bite Size Bits patterned paper. I painted a wooden butterfly from the JS Large Wood Shape Assortment using Making Memories Green acrylic paint. I can't believe that this paint is still usable. I've been holding on to this product for a decade (or maybe more) now. While the paint is still wet, I poured Ranger Perfect Pearls Sour Apple to the painted butterfly. I spritz this butterfly with pearlized water to help set the pearl powder.

I fussy cut a green butterfly from the JS Chilled Cucumber Soup Peeled Cucumber patterned paper. I tried machine stitching the butterfly but since the area to stitch is too small, the machine just made one stitch. I wrapped the silver thread around the body of the buttefly and left some extras for the antenna. I applied a liquid glue to the wrapped thread and pinched it with a tweezer. I also applied glue to the antenna to make it stiff. I adhered this to the top of the painted wood butterly.

I cut the sentiment cut-apart into three parts so I can add the butterfly to the lay-out. I added a layer of patterned paper from the JS Country Pumpkin Chowder 6x6 mini pad to the back of this sentiment cut apart. To add some detail, I embossed this using a Cuttlebug Perfectly Paisley embossing folder. At first, it looks like a mess with the printed pattern and the embossed pattern trying to compete with each other. To tame things down, I blended a Close To My Heart Sweet Leaf ink using the Picket Fence Life Changing Brush to the embossed panel.

For the main panel of the card, I cut a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" panel from the JS Irish Farm House Soup Sea Salt patterned paper. I adhered a green ribbon to this making sure it is lined up with the line on the sentiment panel. I traced this line with a glitter pen for extra shine. I folded up the fussy cut butterfly and placed clear dimensional tape to the back of these wings for added dimension.

I adhered this panel to a top folding A2 note card.

Inked Embellishments Autumn Card

Hello! I forgot to take an off from work last Saturday to celebrate Happy World Card Making Day. I will try again next year. I am so glad that the celebration did not end that day. Some blogs have their sales and challenges extended for a few more days. Thank you! What I love about this day is participating on the instant, timed challenges sponsored by different craft companies. For me, this means using what I have and shaking up my creative head since I have to work with the limited supply I have.

I am using Jillibean Soup products for this challenge. I smooshed ink on a white Jillibean Soup Doily. I used Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks in Fired Brick, Wild Honey, Fossilized Amber and Peeled Paint for the colors. On my last color layer, I spritz WPlus9 Shimmer Pure Color Spray on a Ranger Craft Mat and pounced the inked doily on it. I dried the doily with a heat gun in between color layers.

I watercolored the JS White Smile Wise Words sticker. I first used Finetec Inka Gold but added black Kuretake Gansai Tambi over it to make the sentiment pop over the inked doily. The good thing is that the watercolored sentiment sticker retained the pearl finish of the gold paint. I adhered this to the doily.

I added JS Chilled Cucumber Soup letter stickers to a JS wood banner from the JS Large Wood Shape Assortment pack to complete the sentiment. I traced the letters with a Sakura brown gelly roll pen to change the color from gray to brown. I carefully added clear Wink of Stella to the stickers, avoiding the already dried gel ink.

I adhered this to a circle fun foam for some dimension. I die cut a circle from the JS Country Pumpkin Chowder 6x6 mini pad. I adhered it to the back of the fun foam.

For the panel, I cut a 4" x 5 1/2" JS Irish Farm House Soup patterned paper. Using a paint brush, I flicked gold watercolor to this panel using the same Finetec gold paint I used earlier. I sponged the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Vintage Photo to hide the white core of the paper.

I adhered this to a dark brown cardstock measuring 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". I then adhered it to a top folding notecard. I added Nuvo Glitter Drops Golden Sunset as a finishing touch.
