Get Well Soon Card

Hello! I need a Get Well Soon card for my son's friend. Looking through my handmade cards, I cannot believe that I don't have any Get Well Soon cards in my card collection. My son did not want the generic Hello card so I created this card.

I stamped the letters from The Ink Road Daisie Alpha stamp set using different colored dye inks. I colored the letters using Prismacolor color pencils. I left the images in the letters white. I fussy cut the letters. 

For the panel, I die cut the Honey Bee A2 Burlap Background on dark brown cardstock. I adhered this to a light gray cardstock panel, cut at 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". 

I adhered the letters on vellum using foam adhesive. I added flower die cuts using a die from Paper Smooches. I adhered woodgrain sequences for the the floral centers.

I added Lawn Fawn Liquid Stardust to the uncolored areas of the letter using a paint brush.

Weaved Cardstock Strips Valentine's Card

Hello! I created this card for the Hero Arts Blog's Challenge on CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) A Favorite Card of the Year. My most recent created card that I really like and enjoyed creating is the Weaved Cardstock Strips. I used colored cardstock strips for that Christmas themed card. For this card, I used white cardstock strips and I created a Valentine's themed card. 

I looked through my stash and pulled out all the white cardstock strips then started weaving.

For the focal point, I die cut the heart from the Hero Arts Floral Heart Stamp & Cut By Lia on red cardstock, vellum and red glitter paper. I did a bit of surgery on the red cardstocks and red glitter paper. On the red cardstocks, I trimmed off the details inside the heart to create a heart outline. For the glitter paper, I trimmed off the center solid portion. 

I heat embossed the sentiment on the vellum die cut using Ranger Rich Red Embossing Powder. I adhered the glittered die cut on the back of the vellum slightly off setting it. I trimmed off the excess. I adhered one of the red heart outline on the back and adhered the other one on the front. 

I adhered the weaved cardstock strips to a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" red carstock. I adhered the heart to the weaved panel. I added shimmer to the top red heart using Spectrum Noir Solar Red Shimmer Pen. I added several Ink Road Donna Pearls Flat Beads to the centers of the flowers. 

Thank you for visiting my blog. I enjoyed creating the weaved portion of the card. It brought me back to my grade school days when we will do this in Art using art paper. It was also fun creating something new out of the heart floral die.

Woodgrain Birthday Card

Hello! I created this card for a blog challenge but I did not finish it on time. I did not want to put the supplies aside since most likely, I will forget to use it, and I hate putting supplies into waste. So I pursued finishing this card. I am very sure that it will come in handy one day.

I embossed the Ink Road Stamps Daisie Alpha on a My Mind's Eye wood patterned paper. I embossed this with Wow! Metallic Gold Rich Regular embossing powder. I colored the letters with Prismacolor color pencils. I fussy cut the letters leaving a small border around it.

I cut another 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" wood patterned paper. I die cut a rectangular window on this paper. I embossed a black card stock with a We R Memory Keepers Quilted Next Level embossing folder. I adhered this to the back of the window patterned paper. I adhered the embossed letters to this black embossed card stock.

To complete the sentiment, I stamped the word birthday on a wood tape using Stazon black ink and the Misti Stamping Tool. I re-stamped the sentiment three times and the Misti Stamping Tool is a big help in stamping the sentiment with precision. I die cut this sentiment into a strip using the Avery Elle    Elle-ments Simple Sentiments die. I adhered this to close to the window.

I matted this patterned paper lay-out on a kraft card stock, embossing it first with a Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles Die.

I adhered some sequins and stars. I added Nuvo Glitter Drops Golden Sunset to the stars, then set this aside to dry.
