Hello! Welcome back to my blog. For today's post, I am featuring products new to my stash which are the Lawn Fawn Giant Happy Birthday die and the Wow! Embossing Powder Flourescent colors. Some of the embossing powder colors in this brand is not available in the market anymore but there are other brands that offer these neon colors. I bought these powders at the re-sell area of my local craft store.
I started off by die cutting the sentiment die on a heavy weight white cardstock. I pounced the Wow! Embossing clear ink pad on a part of the sentiment die cut, starting on the upper corner of the sentiment die cut. I am going for a diagonal distribution of the colors, following the rainbow order. I poured the pink embossing powder to the wet ink, then heat set it. I continued this pattern until I covered up the whole sentiment die cut with embossing powder. I repeated the process to add more depth and more blending of the colors next to each other.
To add gloss to this sentiment die cut, I pounced the embossing pad to the sentiment again, and poured Wow! Clear Gloss Ultra High embossing powder to this. After heat setting the powder and making sure that all the powder is melted, I repeated the process one more time for more dimension.
I die cut two more of the sentiment on regular cardstock. I adhered this to the back of the glossed sentiment die cut.
For the background panel, I trimmed a black cardstock at 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". I die cut LF Outside In Stitched Scalloped die onto this, using all dies to create a panel with staggered scallopped rectangles. To add interest, I adhered a slim double adhesive tape to the scalloped frame die cuts, in between the stitching impression. I poured the embossing powder to this, then heat set it.
To make this into a card, I am using a side folding A2 card but trimmed it at 4" x 5 1/4". I trimmed an eighth of an inch off the short and long side to make it perfectly fit the back of the scalloped panel, so it will not show through the front. I adhered the frames to this note card, adding foam tape to every other frame.
I adhered the glossed sentiment die cut after.
Thank you for visiting my blog. Have a blessed, brilliant and creative day!
