Heart Wreath Card

Hello! We have a new challenge at Incy Wincy Designs. The theme of the challenge is Work/Play And/Or Big Hearts. Our sponsor is All Dressed Up.

I printed the image on Strathmore Bristol paper. I colored the image with Altenew Woodless Watercolor Pencils. This is the first time I am using this product. I have been curious about it and saw generic woodless watercolor pencils at Hobby Lobby. But after seeing this being sold at our local craft store, I decided to invest on it. I don't think I have used it enough on this project to give a feedback on this product. So I have to use it again to be able to share my thoughts about this product.

Back on the project, this image comes with a sentiment at the center which I am not using on this project. I fussy cut the image, including the inner part of the wreath, cutting off the sentiment. I left a small white border around the image.

To tie in with the theme of home, I created my own sentiment with a rub on alphabet, applying this on vellum. To give emphasis to the word home, I applied this on white cardstock and die cut this using a strip label die. I added a die cut heart between the words is and my to fill in the big space in between these words.

I adhered the vellum to the back of the printed image, carefully cutting off the excess. I doubled the vellum to mute the patterned paper that I am using for the card panel.

I trimmed the patterned paper at 4" x 5 1/4". I adhered this to an emerald cardstock cut at 4 1/4" X 5 1/2". I added gold embroidery floss to this panel before adhering the heart wreath with foam adhesive. I also added Cool Tak clear foam to the back of the vellum to avoid having the center of the wreath flattening out.

I adhered pearls for some embellishment.

Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope to see your creations at the challenge blog. Have a blessed, brilliant and creative day!
