Song Inspired Greeting Card...Meet Jeffrey

Hello! I have two sources of inspiration for this card. First, is the song "Raindrops Keep Falling In My Head" by B.J. Thomas. When I conceptualized this card, it has been raining here at St. Louis. The gloomy mood is contagious! But the positivity of this song changes that.

My other inspiration is the duck in the park that my third son named Jeffrey.

I am using products from Lawn Fawn for this card:
  • Spring Critter Huggers
  • Stitched Umbrella die
  • Milo's ABC stamp
  • Liquid Stardust

I trimmed a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" Strathmore Bristol paper. I blended ink on this panel using Picket Fence Blender Brush. The inks I used are Tim Holtz Distress Oxide in Stormy Sky and Faded Jeans.

I die cut the elements of the scene I am creating. I modified the arms of the critter so that one of the arms will be holding the umbrella. I blended Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Antique Linen to the critter and to the umbrella.

I created a customized sentiment for the front of the card. I stamped this using Versafine Onxy Black ink and clear embossing powder.

I also created a customized sentiment for the inside of the card.

I added Liquid Stardust to the raindrops. I added Ranger Black Enamel to the eyes.

Thank you for visiting my blog. Have a blessed, brilliant and creative day!
