New Craft Stash #4: Clear Stickers

Hello! I am continuing my series on featuring a new item in my stash. For this post, I am using the Altenew Live Your Dream clear stickers which I got free from a recent Altenew purchase. I used to collect stickers as a child. I would put them in notebooks and letters to friends. In the age of technology, I found less use for stickers.

I am participating in Altenew's latest color/sketch challenge. For the main panel, I created a tone on tone diagonal background by die cutting the music staff die from Altenew Treble Love die set on the same colored cardstock. You would have not known, right? This is one way of extending the use of this die. I used the negative cut to evenly space the lines. I adhered this on the mint panel using liquid adhesive. After this has dried, I trimmed off the excess.

I die cut the dark green cardstock with Lawn Fawn Stitched Square Stackables die. I also embossed the next smaller size of stitched die. For the focal point, I adhered the stickers on a white cardstock and fussy cut it, using the edge of the sticker as guide. On the other hand, after I adhered the dark pink flower on the white cardstock, I fussy cut this right on the edge of the flower since I was going to layer this on the big flower. I inked the edges of this flower with Tim Holtz Picked Raspberry to hide the white core of the cardstock. I adhered the large flower to the dark green stitched square die cut using foam adhesive. I added the leaves after. I added the smaller flower with foam adhesive. I adhered a pearl on the center of the flower.

For the gray thick strip, I stamped the sentiments from Altenew Happy Birthday stamp set and Altenew Label Love stamp set using a dark gray die ink. For the shadow of the Happy, I used Hero Arts Sea Foam Reactive ink. I traced the letters on the stamped label with a silver gel pen.

I adhered the strip to the mint panel, then adhered the dark green panel to complete the sketch.

Thank you for visiting my blog. I truly enjoyed following the sketch to come up with this card. Have a blessed, brilliant and creative day!
