See Through Card Using Digital Cut File

Hello! Welcome back. I have been MIA for a really long time. I took some time off from work and from blogging. I did craft during my time off which is mostly either stitching or scrapbooking my sons' photos. As much as taking a break allowed me to focus on other things, the downside to it is I am having a hard time getting back to the swing of things with regards to creating something. Before, watching other crafter's videos spark up my creativity. But last week, this was not enough to give me a jolt in creating. The Spring Issue Challenge of Scrapbook & Cards motivated me, but my progress is very slow. Well, at least, I finished the card, and I am hopeful that this is the start.

I got my inspiration for this card from Jennifer McGuire's See-Through Card. The difference between her and my card is that I am using a Digital Cut file which is a freebie at Scrapbook & Cards blog which is linked below. I uploaded the cut file to Cricut Design Space and edited the image to create a solid cut. I also used CDS to assign colors to each flower. I also used CDS to create open spaces in between the flowers, although not all of the spaces got edited out.

The cut file covers a big portion of a card front. Just like in Jennifer's card, I adhered one end of a flower to another to continue building the front of the card. I fussy cut some of the flowers to fill in the gaps. I trimmed off the any excess on the sides. Do you see the overlapping flowers?

The sentiment is a die cut using Trinity Stamps Frame and Fold Die Set. I added the link to this product below. There will be no additional cost to you should you decide to purchase this die set. While you are at the Trinity Stamps website, do check out the other amazing Trinity Stamps products including their newly released products.

I enjoying creating this card. Have you tried this technique before or are you planning to give this technique a try. Please let me know in the comments below.

Thank you for visiting my blog. Have a blessed, brilliant and creative day!
