Sketch & Color Inspired Greeting Card (New to My Stash #22)

Hello! Welcome back to my blog and to my New to My Stash blog series. For this card, my new product is the La La Land Crafts A Little Note Stamp set and matching die. The stamp includes two bird builder stamps. It also has the matching outline bird stamp which I did not use on this card. I used the outline stamp as a guide in lining up the rest of the builder stamps.

I die cut a yellow cardstock to create stitched panels to follow the sketch below. Using the matching die, I die cut a mask and adhered it to the larger yellow rectangle die cut.

I stamped the My Favorite Things Rose All Over Background stamp using a yellow dye ink. On the larger yellow rectangular die cut, I heat embossed the MFT Sheet Music Cling stamp over the rose stamped impression. I used the Wow! Gold Pearl embossing powder.

I removed the masking paper and started stamping the bird, going for a blue jay look.

For the other yellow die cut, I heat embossed the sentiment using Wow! Topaz embossing powder. I embossed this several times to get a raised look. The sentiment is from Ellen Hutson Totally Random Sayings Vol. 1 stamp set.

I trimmed a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" blue cardstock. It is not quite the teal blue that I have in mind so I blended Tim Holtz Peacock Feather Distress Oxide to the areas that will not be covered by the yellow panels. I spritz some pearlized water over this and pressed a paper towel over it.

I adhered the yellow die cut panels next, adding some dimension behind the bird panel. I scattered some floral sequins then adhered it with a liquid glue.

Thank you for visiting my blog. Have a blessed, brilliant and creative day!
