Washi Tape Background Thank You Card

Hello! I have a lot of washi tapes, I am not going to deny that. Ever since washi tape became a rage in the crafting world, I have built my own collection of washi tapes. I have slowed down in my washi tape purchases. Let's just say, I have become more selective on the washi tape I buy.

For this card, I decided to give tribute to my washi tape collection. This card is mostly made of washi tape except for the cardstock and the ephemera. I am using products from Pebbles This Is Family Collection.

I adhered the washi tape on a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" white cardstock. I started adhering the washi tape on the edges, building the outlines towards the center. Once I've filled the whole cardstock, using a ruler and a craft knife, I cut the corners diagonally. I lifted the seams carefully to be able to remove the excess washi tape. I roll a brayer over the washi tape background to make it better adhere to the cardstock. If you don't have a brayer, you can also run this through a die cut machine.

I added accents to the flower ephemera I've chosen for this card. I used copic markers to add highlights. I also used a Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle pen to add shimmer to the flowers.

I adhered another washi tape to a strip of cardstock. I adhered the sentiment ephemera to this strip using foam adhesive. I adhered this with liquid glue to the washi tape panel. I then adhered the flower ephemera with double layered foam adhesive for more dimension.

Thank you for visiting my blog. Have a blessed, brilliant and creative day! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
