Cricut Soccer Coach Thank You Card

My son's soccer season ended this past week. One of the moms organized a collection for a gift for the coach. I volunteered to create the card for the coach.

I created this card with the help of Cricut Design Space. I cut the soccer ball three times using white card stock. Unfortunately, I ended up with only two successful cuts since my mat wasn't sticky enough that the paper moved during the cutting process. Lesson learned and to pass along, when your project involves intricate cuts, make sure your cutting mat is sticky.

I colored the positive cut of the soccer with a black Wink of Stella. I adhered this on top of the other positive cut soccer ball cut.

For the panel, using CDS, I re-sized this at 4" x 5 1/4". I positioned the sentiment where I want it. I used the We R Memory Keepers Foil Quill pen to draw the letters on a blue foil.

I am using a yellow cardstock for the cardbase. Before I adhered the sentiment panel, I adhered gold washi tape to the yellow cardstock, where it will show through the white sentiment panel.

After I adhered the white sentiment panel, I adhered the soccer ball. I puzzle pieced the negative cuts of the soccer ball. I thought of just putting this to use rather than throwing it.

Thank you for visiting my blog. Have a blessed, brilliant and creative day!
