Rainbow Color Themed Card

Hello! I created this card to participate in Newton's Nook Designs Inky Paws Challenge #100. I had the design of this card for the past challenge but did not get to creating it. This is a perfect time for me to make the idea into a reality.

I stamped the image from Newton's Nook Designs Newton's Book Club stamp set on Strathmore watercolor paper. This is one my first two Newton Nook Designs stamp set. I love this set because it reminds me of my sister, who both loves cats and books. I always color the cat with one of her cats as  inspiration. This also started my love for the Newton Nook Design brand.

I used a Misti Stamping Tool to ink the image with Versafine Onyx Black ink. I painted the image with Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors. The cat is colored with Ken, one of my sister's cats, as inspiration.

For the windowed panel, I inked an Echo Parked Paper patterned paper with Tim Holtz Distress inks. I repeated the same order of colors as I have used in coloring the books. The colors I used are Candied Apple, Squeezed Lemonade, Mowed Lawn, Salty Ocean and Dusty Concord. I sprayed water on this ink blended panel, then picked the water droplets with a dry paper towel.

I die cut this panel using a Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle die, I die cut the window using a Hero Arts Nesting Oval die. I heat embossed the sentiment using Hero Arts white embossing powder.

I adhered this to a A2-sized white top folding note card.

Thank you for visiting my blog. If you are a follower of my blog and notice the sudden frequency of my posts, it is my way of coping for what I am going through right now. It is a good outlet, I can say.

Have a blessed, brilliant and creative day!
