Patterned Paper Die Cut Shaped Card

Hello! I created this card to join in Altenew's June 2019 Inspiration Challenge. I am using the Altenew Layered Rose die set. I die cut the flower and leaf outline die on a double sided Bo Bunny patterned paper which covers two of the colors from the photo inspiration. I die cut the solid flower die on an Echo Park patterned paper. This is one way of using patterned paper scraps.

I die cut the flower and leaf several more times using a coordinating color cardstock so I can stack this up and create a raised embellishment for the card. I adhered the outline patterned paper flower and leaf die cut on top of the solid colored die cut. I have about 5 layers of die cut for each flower and leaf. After the glue has dried, I embossed the top layer, which is the patterned paper flower and leaf die cut, with Judikins Iridescent Sparkle embossing powder. I did this process for about three times for a more raised look.

For the solid flower die cut, I applied a double adhesive sheet on top of the yellow patterned paper before die cutting it with the solid flower die. I removed the backing sheet to expose the adhesive, then poured Elizabeth Crafts Designs Silk Microfine Warm Diamond Glitter over it. I tapped off the excess, and poured the excess back to the container. I rubbed the glitter using my finger to polish the glitter, and at the same time, make it adhere more to the adhesive sheet. I adhered this to the back of the outline flower die cut.

I used the negative cut of the leaf and kept it simple to add contrast to the glittered embellishments.

I die cut a My Mind's Eye patterned paper using a circle die from Simon Says Stamp Nested Circle Die Set. I squeezed in some Prima Color Bloom Precious Stone Spray Mist to this panel making sure I create both fine and big splatters. I dried this using a heat gun.

I die cut the next largest circle on a light grey cardstock and two white cardstocks. I scored one of the white circle cardstocks, about half an inch from the top. This will be the hinge to create the circle shaped card that opens and closes. I applied a strong adhesive to this hinge, lined up the circles, and allowed this to dry. I then adhered the gray cardstock to the front.

I arranged the flower and leaf die cuts to create a bouquet. To preserve the floral arrangement as I adhere it to the splattered panel, I lifted the bouquet off the panel with a Press and Seal Wrap. I applied dots of Gina K Connect glue to the back of the bouquet, then flipped it back to the splattered circle panel. I squirted more glue to areas I missed. I applied something heavy on top of the bouquet while the glue is drying.

For the sentiment, I die cut a banner using black cardstock and Lawn Fawn Fancy Folded Banners die. I used the negative cut to curve the sentiment from Altenew Adore You stamp set. I embossed the sentiment using white embossing powder. I adhered this to the bottom of the circle splattered panel. I added foam adhesive in some areas, and glue on other areas to make the banner leveled.

I die cut a circle on fun foam, adhered this to the back of the splattered circle panel, then adhered this to the circle note card.

Thank you for visiting my blog. Have a blessed, brilliant and creative day!
