For today's bi-weekly Incy Wincy Designs Challenge, the theme is Thank You Cards. My digital image is from Bugaboo. Isn't this bear adorable? I printed the images on watercolor paper. I colored the images using Zig Clean Color Brush Markers. I printed the images on scrap paper, too which I used as a guide to fuzzy cut the double-sided adhesive paper. I adhered the adhesive paper on top of the digital images. I worked on an image at a time. After I removed the release paper, I poured Elizabeth Craft Cool Diamond Glitter on top of the image. I rubbed my finger onto the glittered image to make the glitter smooth-looking. That is what I like about this particular glitter.
For the sentiment, I die cut a red cardstock using a Lawn Fawn die. The strip sentiment is from Honey Bee stamps. I stamped this on vellum using a red dye ink. The good thing about stamping on vellum is the stamped impression remains wet for a while. I poured cleared embossing powder onto this and heat embossed it. I made sure that the heat tool is warm enough before zapping it to the vellum to prevent warping of the vellum. I adhered this to the card front. I applied Ranger Glossy Accents to the thanks sentiment for added dimension.
I did not notice that my images are not centered vertically. I have an option to trim this and make this as a panel that I can layer onto a note card. But I really want to create a one layered card. To cover up the space on the top of the card, I cut a wide strip of vellum and die cut it using a Mama Elephant border die. After I positioned the vellum on top of the card, I scored the vellum and folded it. I applied a very narrow double sided tape to each side of the score line on the vellum. I adhered this to the top of the card.
I added some splatters using a gold watercolor ink to the sides of the images. To finish the card, I punch the bottom corners of the card.
Hope you can join us in this bi-weekly challenge.
Have a blessed & brilliant day!
