Hello! Welcome back to my blog. I have another stitched project today. Thanks to Stitchable Cards FB for the free stitching pattern. This is just one of my paper stitching projects. Please search paper stitching in the search tab to see my other stitched projects if you are interested.
My stitched project is a smaller scale of the pattern since I used a different stitching panel. The stitching die I used is from Ellen Hutson. A lot of strain to the eyes in making this one but I think it is worth it.
I don't have all of the recommended DMC floss colors for the pattern. I substituted the missing colors using thread-bare.com. I was not a fan of the orange substitute but after adding the backstitch, I think it looks alright.
I usually use The Stamp Market Embroidery Hoops die for my stitched projects but I cut the stitched panel smaller than the embroidery hoop die. So I created an embroidery hoop by creating a circle frame using two circle nesting dies. I partially die cut The Stamp Market embroidery hoop to cut the portion where the screw fits in. I die cut two pieces of this. I adhered one piece to the back of the circle frame and saved the other piece for the back portion of the embroidery hoop.
I die cut the stitched panel and another cardstock using the larger circle die I used to cut the frame. I adhered the circle die cut to the back of the stitched panel.
I die cut the screw on a mirror cardstock. I die cut two pieces and adhered this together with the mirror side facing out. Layering adds depth and stability to this tiny screw die cut.
I adhered the embroidery hoop frame to the stitched panel making sure that the screwing portions are aligned with each other.
Now, I have an especially made ephemera that I can add to any layout.
Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you like today's stitched project. Have a blessed, brilliant and creative day!
