Foiled Digital Image using Foil Quill by We R Memory Keepers

Hello! Foiling is still on trend these days. One of the products that caught my eye on the Creativation 2019 is the We R Memory Keepers Foiling Quill. I got more excited when I saw that JoAnn sells this product. Being a new product, unfortunately, a discount coupon cannot be used on its purchase. Sigh! I will patiently wait...until I saw someone selling this at OfferUp at a discounted price. Sweet! What a perfect chance to try this product. Using this product for the first time did not come out as a breeze. The manual included was not helpful at all. I had to watch videos, and still I had to discover things on my own to be able to make it work. It is a great product! The result is great but it needs more detailed tutorial to make this product really worth its price.

This card was created for our new Incy Wincy Designs Challenge featuring the Kona Colour of the Year. The image I am using is from one of our sponsors, Sheepski Designs. I uploaded the digital image to Cricut Design Space. This is the most tedious step in creating this card, to convert the image so that the machine will draw the image. I had to block out the empty spaces in between the lined images. With how detailed this image is, this step took most of my time in creating this card.

After the image has been drawn and foiled on a cardstock from My Favorite Things, I colored the image with Faber Castell Polychromos color pencils. I trimmed the edges to center the drawn image, then adhered it on a top folding gray notecard with a fun foam in between.

For the sentiment, I put together a phrase from Honey Bee Bless Your Heart Stamp set. I stamped this on a strip of grey cardstock using Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I adhered this to the center of the floral heart. I added Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Confetti.

The unique thing about using the Foil Quill over foiling with a laminator is that the Foil Quill creates a letter press look. I hope you can see it on the photo above. Very pretty!

Thank you for visiting my blog. Have a blessed, brilliant and creative day!
