Spotlight Coloring

Hello. I am late in posting for Incy Wincy Designs latest challenge on Animals. Our challenge's image sponsor is Doctor Digi.

I printed the image on Neenah Solar White cardstock. I colored the image using Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I ligthly drew a circle on the three cats so I will have an idea where I will stop coloring. I colored the cats with three of my sister's cats as inspiration. Peppy is the sleeping one on the top. She has been sleeping more lately because she maybe pregnant. The playful cat is the youngest of my sister's cats, Ken. He has light yellow stripes but I end up coloring him darker than his shade. The one on the bottom is Ryan, who I rarely see.

I erased the pencil marks after I colored the circle areas. I then colored the rest with Tim Holtz Distress Weathered Wood marker, applying the color on a palette and picking it up with a water brush. I tried not to over saturate the cardstock with water so as not to warp it. I blended in Tim Holtz Distress Pumice Stone ink to even out the coloring. If I am going to re-do this project, I will print the image on watercolor paper.

I foiled a 4 1/4"x 5 1/2" Deco Foil toner paper with a silver Minc Machine foil. I die cut this panel using Simon Says Stamp Frames Wafer die. I trimmed a vellum to fit on the back of this frame. Before adhering it, I embossed the vellum using Next Level We R Memory Keepers embossing folder.

I die cut the colored panel using one of the frames in the SSS Frames Wafer die set. I rounded the corners using We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper. I stamped a sentiment from Newton's Nook Designs Newton Love Cakes. I stamped this with Versafine ink, heat embossing it with clear embossing powder. I adhered a fun foam to the back. I adhered this to the vellum, then adhered this to a top folding My Favorite Things Grape cardstock.

I added shimmer to the circle areas with Spectrum Noir Clear Shimmer pen.

Thank you for visiting my blog. Have a blessed, brilliant & creative day!
