Coffee Cup Gift Card Holder Winter Card

Hello! I created this card to join the Honey Bee Facebook Challenge (link at the bottom). At the same time, I think I might mass produce this card for teachers for Faculty Appreciation Day.

I die cut the Honey Bee Coffee Cup Gift Card Holder on a heavy weight white cardstock. I trimmed strips of Lawn Fawn Knit Picky 6x6 patterned paper. I applied adhesive all over the front flap of the coffee cup. I adhered the strips to create a pattern. I cut off the excess on the sides. I die cut the cover on white cardstock and adhered it to the cover flap. I heat embossed the sentiment using the HB Perfect Blend stamp set.

For the inside of the coffee cup, I punched the notches using We R Memory Keepers Envelope Notcher punch.

For the panel, I die cut the HB Burlap A2 Background on kraft cardstock. I trimmed a red patterned paper from the same paper pad collection at 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". I adhered the burlap die cut to this. I adhered the coffee cup after. I adhered this to a top folding note card.

The coffee cup lid tab won't lay flat despite giving this a good score, using heavy weight cardstock, and placing something heavy on top of it. Since this will be placed inside an envelope, I think having it slightly open once pulled out of the envelope will give the recipient a message that the coffee cup is interactive. If this bothers you, a small piece of tape to close the front tab and a rolled-up tape on the back of the lid tab should do the trick of keeping the lid from opening.

Thank you for visiting my blog. Have a blessed, brilliant and creative day!
