I got inspired to create my own background after seeing Echo Park's new collection Creative Agenda specifically the Days of the Week patterned paper. The other inspiration I have is the owl. I colored this owl once but never got to use it for a card. Since Halloween is just around the corner, I wanted to create a card for that occasion. But I don't have a good sentiment to use for my background. The owl can be used for any occasion anyway. So I came up with this card.
I lightly draw curves on a white cardstock to serve as a guide for stamping the sentiment. I stamped the hello using different inks and curving it according to the wave. Sometimes the hello will straighten itself so I just have to make sure that it is curved when I am ready to stamp.
My initial plan was to use to the pocket die to create a pocket where the owl is peeking. But the pocket is too big. Then I saw the tree branch in the same stamp set, and from thereon, ideas start building up until I came up with the final card.
Thanks for viewing my blog.
