Sunflower Using a Leaf Die Card

I challenged myself to create something different from the Concord & Ninth Lace Leaf die. I created a sunflower using the small leaf die in the set. I die cut a yellow cardstock using this leaf die. I inked the petals with Tim Holtz Distress Mustard Seed ink. I die cut a brown cardstock using Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circles die. I inked the circle using THD Vintage Photo ink. I die cut a green cardstock using the same leaf die. For the stem, I used a My Favorite Things Fresh Cut Flowers die.

To create the front panel, I am using a Doodlebug patterned paper. I die cut the window using a square die from Concord & Ninth Love You So die set. I created a frame for this window using the scalloped and square dies from the same die set. I taped the two dies together to prevent shifting as I ran this through the Sizzix machine. I applied Spectrum Noir Clear Shimmer pen to this frame.

This patterned paper's size is 4" x 5 1/4". It is double sided so I used the back side of the square window die cut. I adhered this to a kraft cardstock measuring 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" using the window panel as a guide. I positioned the flower, leaves and stem, then started adding adhesive to the back. I adhered the patterned paper using foam adhesive. I added varied dots on the center of the flower using THD Brushed Corduroy Stickles.

For the sentiment, I heat embossed the sentiment on kraft cardstock using Ranger Copper embossing powder. The sentiment is from the Lace Leaf stamp set. I trimmed this then adhered it to the bottom of the window.

Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you found inspiration in today's created card. Have a blessed, brilliant & creative day.
